Inspiration

I enjoy flipping through various publications and finding inspiration from them. I hope to create my own zine one day! If you don't know what a zine is, feel free to click here to learn more about them. Dapper is a new Northwestern magazine catered towards men. I stumbled upon it at the student center and loved flipping through it. There were black-and-white illustrations and polaroid photos. The tone of the magazine felt very free-spirited and down-to-earth. I love looking at the creations of my peers!

I bought this book while interning in Thailand the past summer! While I can't read a lick of Thai, the photos in this little thing were enough to entice me to buy it. It features women who are creators and artists who I believe have started their own creative businesses. Never before have I wanted to read Thai so badly.

This book is by the same publisher as the previous one, Polka Dot. I loved their books so much I sent the company a Facebook message asking if they were planning on creating English translations anytime soon. They're not, but that's okay! I'll make my own book one day that will be inspired by this. The book features cool places in New York to sightsee. There are a lot of cute illustrations and beautiful photos inside. ONE DAY - I will make my own travel zine!
