Summer's Finally Here!

It seems like Chicago skipped spring altogether and headed straight for summer. This week has been overloaded with a plethora of beautiful blessings!

It was my birthday this week! I can now sing at the top of my lungs, "I'm feeling 22!" I was wonderfully surprised at midnight with cake by my lovely family group. They gave me a gazillion hugs and made me a fantabulous video full of love and laughter. THANK YOU MY LOVELIES!

This week has just been filled with such wonderful words of affirmation from friends. Sometimes I wonder, "Have I been impacting others in a positive way at all?" As a senior about to graduate, I can't help but to think, "What kind of legacy will I leave? How will people remember me?"

These questions nagged my mind at the beginning of this week, and I felt overwhelmed by a hollow sense of inadequacy. Through all the the lovely birthday messages and encouragement, I have been affirmed of the ways I have blessed others. Thank you everyone! I truly believe every person should be treated as if it is their birthday everyday.

I currently am at a cafe called Coffee Lab. I'm no coffee connoisseur, but I love cafes! This love blossomed while I was in Thailand this past summer for an internship. My friends and I would find hole-in-the-wall cafes where they'd sketch and do their art homework, while I bummed around.

I'm reading a magazine called "Kinfolk" right now. I love, love, love the design and photography found within it. PLUS, it caters to both males and females. I sometimes buy magazines as research for the future magazine I hope to create one day. if you're a fan of design, photography, cooking, and crafts, I highly recommend this.

My brother bought this book for me as my birthday present! It's called "Designing with The Mind in Mind." The author probably thought he was really witty, coming up with that title! I'm interested in User Interface design, and this book is full of nifty tips regarding how the brain processes visual information.

Well, you've now come to the end of the road of this post. I hope you all have most excellent weekends and do at least one crazy thing!
